What is everyone scared of and procrastinating doing... RECRUITING!

Everyone has to recruit. The Girl Scouts. Your church. The Republicans or Democrats. Your PTA. There's no business in the world that can succeed without new recruits.

The question is how do you feel when you recruit? Do you feel like your bothering people or being pushy? Or are you excited about offering the "gift" of your business?

The feelings you are experiencing when you're sharing your business opportunity with new people is a critical factor in whether they sign up or not.

If you feel good and energized then they will feel that energy!

If you feel bad or uncertain - you will convey that feeling and potentially be pushing them away. So the key to successful recruiting is to change the feeling state you are in when you do it.

People who fear recruiting tell themselves stories that are Far Scarier then the Reality. “I can’t do this”, “I don’t want to impose on my friends”, “People will think I’m bothering them”.

In the movie “The Wizard of Oz”, remember how Dorothy and her friends trembled with fear when they finally get an audience with the Wizard? Then, when the little dog Toto pulls back the curtain to reveal a timid old man manipulating some levers, each character realizes that Their Imagined Story is far scarier than the Reality.

Stop and Change your Script then you will Change your Life.

BE THE GIFT

What happens when you go to the movies and you see a show that you just love? You can't stop talking about it, right? You tell everyone. The gal at the nail salon, the woman behind you in the grocery store. Everyone. You share the movie with others because you truly enjoyed it and want them to have a positive experience.
